Deighton Pierce Glynn (DPG) Solicitors is delighted to announce that Ahmed Aydeed has accepted the firm’s invitation to become a Partner. Ahmed Aydeed, formerly a Public Law Director at Duncan Lewis solicitors, brings a wealth of expertise in public law and human rights, having dedicated his career to representing some of the most vulnerable individuals in society.
He has extensive specialist experience advising individuals on all aspects of public law, including on decisions relating to asylum, international protection, EU law, nationality law, administrative detention, discrimination and equality, and family and child care proceedings.
He comes to Deighton Pierce Glynn to lead a team of public lawyers in the London office.
In 2017 he was awarded the Law Society’s Excellence Award for Junior Lawyer of the Year and was shortlisted for Director of the Year at the Birmingham Law Society Legal Awards in 2018. He was “Highly Commended” at the Law Society Excellence Awards in the Human Rights Lawyer of the Year category in 2018 and in 2019 was the winner of the Marsh Award at the Human Trafficking Foundation’s Anti-Slavery Day Awards, and in the same year was Winner of the Rising Star Award at the UK Diversity Legal Awards
