Our healthcare team focuses on representing patients seeking treatment and advising organisations pursuing policy challenges.

Over the past few years we have helped many patients successfully challenge refusals of treatment for
conditions ranging from kidney stones to cancer, and in tandem with non-governmental organisations we have achieved significant policy victories through strategic public interest litigation.

We also train public sector organisations to help improve decision-making and policy documents.

We represent prisoners and immigration detainees in claims arising from the poor quality of healthcare they have received in detention. We challenge poor quality care in an attempt to improve it for our clients and we bring compensation claims for clients who have suffered as a result of healthcare failings. We also represent bereaved families in inquests where people have died in detention and there are questions about the quality of healthcare they received.
