The European Court of Human Rights has granted our client Anti-Slavery International permission to intervene in the significant case of Chowdhury v Greece, Application No: 21884/15.
The plight of Mr Chowdhury and his fellow workers, who were migrants working as fruit pickers in Greece, was publicised by the Guardian.
Zubier Yazdani of DPG is instructed by Dr Aidan McQuade of Anti-Slavery International. Zubier is working on this case pro bono alongside Kathryn Cronin & Shu Shin Luh from Garden Court Chambers.
This case represents an important opportunity for the Court to re-examine the scope of Article 4 ECHR in order to keep pace with the ever evolving forms of exploitation of vulnerable persons.
