Daniel Carey Named Lawyer of the Week by The Times

The Times has recognised Daniel Carey, Associate Solicitor at Deighton Pierce Glynn, as their “Lawyer of the Week” for his work representing Rights Watch (UK) in the Upper Tribunal Administrative Appeals Chamber. The case concerned a Freedom of Information Act appeal against a refusal by the government to disclose its lethal drone strike advice which lead to significant rulings regarding the handling of requests for information relating to the security services. Dan represented Rights Watch (UK) on a pro bono basis in their appeal.
