We at Deighton Pierce Glynn support the struggle of the black community against racism and violence by state and security forces, in the US and here in the UK. This is our collective struggle for justice and we, black and white lawyers together, stand by all those whose voices have been suffocated and stand with all those using their democratic right to protest against state abuses and institutionalised racism.

We support the black community and all marginalised communities in seeking to ensure that all state agents who have violated the rule of law are fully held to account; in the case of George Floyd, the many others in the last months and the multitudes who have been brutally killed because of their race. Their lives matter.
