Sadaf Mir of DPG explores the difficulties faced by victims of trafficking seeking housing assistance from the council in an article published in LAG magazine. Given the government’s stated commitment to fight against modern slavery and trafficking and the issue of lack of adequate social housing rising to the forefront again, one hopes that the need for victims of trafficking to be able to access housing assistance and support from councils without having to face the problems they do now should be an achievable objective.
