20 Nov Human Rights and Technology Research Clinic Launches in Partnership with Deighton Pierce Glynn and Privacy International
Deighton Pierce Glynn is proud to support the University of Law’s groundbreaking Human Rights and Technology Research Clinic. Launched in collaboration with Privacy International, this innovative initiative allows students to explore the intersection of technology and human rights, tackling urgent legal and ethical challenges.
Seventeen students are assisting Privacy International in investigating how emerging technologies are deployed by corporations and public authorities, their potential human rights implications, and data protection concerns. Under the supervision of leading experts, participants conduct in-depth research, analyse legal frameworks, and present findings that contribute to this critical field.
Deighton Pierce Glynn is mentoring students on the public law dimensions of their research, fostering insight into the impact of technology-driven decisions on individuals and communities.
This clinic not only offers real-world experience but advances meaningful solutions to safeguard human rights in an increasingly digital world. We are delighted to be part of this transformative project.
