Are you an experienced HR professional passionate about making a difference?
Deighton Pierce Glynn (DPG), a top human rights and civil liberties law firm, is seeking a dynamic Senior HR Advisor to join our team. This is your chance to play a key role in shaping and advancing the HR function at an organisation with a powerful commitment to social justice.
As our Senior HR Advisor, you’ll manage the full spectrum of HR activities in a standalone role. From recruitment to employee development, performance management to employee well-being, you will be integral to ensuring that our people are supported and empowered to thrive in a positive, inclusive work environment.
Why Join Us?
This is more than just an HR position – it’s an opportunity to lead and evolve the HR function at a forward-thinking, high-profile human rights firm. You’ll work closely with our SLT – our Senior HR Consultant, Practice Manager, and Managing Partner, while having the autonomy to make an impactful, lasting difference.
You will also have the opportunity to drive key initiatives that align with our People and Culture objectives, including diversity and inclusion, wellbeing, and employee development. You’ll be a trusted advisor on all HR matters, working in an environment that values your insights, ideas, and contributions.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Full Employee Lifecycle Management: Oversee recruitment, onboarding, career progression, performance reviews, and employee exits.
- Employee Development & Wellbeing: Help build a culture of growth, offer development opportunities, and support employee wellbeing initiatives.
- HR Strategy & Policy: Contribute to the ongoing development of HR processes, systems, and policies – ensuring they align with our values and goals.
- Tech Integration: Drive the automation of HR processes, and bring innovative ideas for integrating AI into HR operations.
- Collaboration & Support: Partner with senior leaders to foster a positive, inclusive work environment that promotes motivation and career development.
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience: At least 2 years’ experience in a generalist HR Advisor role, with a genuine desire to grow in your HR career.
- Qualifications: Ideally CIPD Level 5 (or equivalent) with a commitment to ongoing professional development.
- HR Expertise: Proven experience in refining HR processes, and a strong ability to manage and implement technology-driven solutions.
- Soft Skills: Exceptional interpersonal skills, with the ability to listen, empathize, and build relationships. Strong emotional intelligence and a consultative approach to problem-solving are essential.
- Organisation & Attention to Detail: Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Passion for Human Rights: While previous experience in a law firm is not required, a keen interest in working for an organisation that champions human rights and civil liberties is essential.
