Background
Shivani is a solicitor in the Public Law team, based in the London office.
Shivani trained as a solicitor at Bindmans LLP where she specialised in criminal law and immigration law. During her training, she was involved in a wide variety of matters involving asylum, deportation, extradition, and protest-related cases arising out of the Just Stop Oil and Palestine Solidarity protests. She has worked on a variety of Judicial Reviews, challenging a range of decisions by public bodies such as the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Affairs Office and the Home Office, as well as the Ministry of Defence on matters regarding the ARAP scheme. She has also assisted on a variety of immigration-related appeals in the First- and Second-tier Tribunals.
Shivani qualified as a solicitor in 2025 with a focus on public law and immigration law.
She is also an accredited Level 2 Senior Caseworker under the Law Society’s Immigration and Asylum Accreditation Scheme.
Shivani joined the firm in October 2025. She works with Dr Connie N Maina Sozi and Ahmed Ali.
